Filmed at the first event of the 2016 NYS Ice Pro-Am Tournament Series, held on Honeoye Lake in Ontario County.
In an El Niño year, good, safe ice has been hard find across New York State. This event was held on 4-5 inches of ice, where anglers were fishing for Perch, Pickerel, Walleye, Northern Pike, and Crappie.
Series Director Tim Thomas explains the series while anglers are seen hauling in their catches through the ice, including a 40+ inch Northern.
