Saturday, June 18 marks the beginning of the regular season for black bass (largemouth and smallmouth) statewide. This is a season that runs through November 30.
DEC reminds anglers that you’re permitted to keep five fish with a minimum size of 12 inches.
This is New York State, so there are exceptions to this season, including Long Island and elsewhere, so check your regs for your favorite fishing hole. Regulations may be seen online here or download the complete guide here, as a PDF.
